Pastoral Care plays a vital role in building meaningful connections between students and teachers, creating a strong foundation for growth and learning.
We aim for students to develop trusting relationships with their Pastoral Care teachers and Leaders of Wellbeing, empowering them to seek guidance and support with confidence.
Counselling
The role of the School Counsellors at MacKillop College are integral to fostering a supportive and nurturing environment where students can thrive both socially and emotionally. The counsellor plays a pivotal part in promoting students' overall wellbeing, encouraging personal development, and helping them navigate the challenges of adolescence.
Our School Counsellors provide a safe and confidential space for students to discuss a variety of concerns, including emotional issues, relationship challenges, family dynamics, behavioural difficulties, and mental health matters. With a compassionate and student-centred approach, the counsellor seeks to empower students with coping strategies and skills to foster resilience and positive growth.
At MacKillop College, we are dedicated to creating a school culture where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Student Representative Council
Our Student Representative Council (SRC) is a student-based group designed to foster school spirit and leadership among students.
Members of the SRC are elected by their peers each year to maintain a fresh approach and a strong student voice within the school.
Our SRC adopt a servant leadership style and our members bring enthusiasm and energy to finding ways to strengthen a positive MacKillop community.
