Christmas Blessings
I would like to take the opportunity to pass on my sincerest thank you to the students, staff and parents of the College, for your hard work, love and support in 2020.
Whilst 2020 has certainly provided challenges like no other, it has consequently provided new opportunities for success, reimagining, rediscovery and new learnings. Out of the year that was, fresh ways of thinking and doing have added to the wonderful work and opportunities at MacKillop. I am confident we will head into 2021 better for the experience.
I would like to wish our Year 12 students best wishes for their HSC results and ATAR day this coming Friday. No matter what the mark I am left with little doubt these young men and women will thrive in the wider world in which they have just entered. Irrespective of their next step, be it work, university or travel I know the lessons of their 2020 will mean they are ready for any challenge.
As the Christmas season is upon us I encourage families to take the time to celebrate ‘the reason for the season’, and invite all families to celebrate the birth of Christ at one of the Christmas Masses being held in our Parish churches and our very own MacKillop College Hall on Christmas Eve, at 6.00pm and Christmas Day, at 9.00am.
My best wishes to each and every member of our MacKillop community, and your extended families, for a restful and peace-filled Christmas and happy and healthy 2021. To our families who have lost loved ones may you find smiles in the wonderful memories you carry in your heart, and to those who are travelling travel safe and enjoy the break.
God Bless
Cath

Sport Trainee
This week we farewell our Sport Trainee for 2020, Isaac Post. Isaac has been an absolute asset to the PDHPE and Sport departments this year. His maturity and dedication in this role has been admirable especially given the challenging year that has been presented. We wish Isaac all the best as he pursues a PDHPE Teaching degree at the University of Newcastle in 2021 and hope that he boomerangs back to us once he finishes his Teaching degree.

Community Sport
Congratulations to Patrick Bailey, Cayden Briscoe and Rordan McDonald who represented the Mid North Coast Axeman with pride on the weekend at the Under 17s Rugby Union State Championships. The Games were tightly contested with narrow margins in all of the score lines. From all reports the boys played with speed, grit and tenacity. Congratulations boys, it was so nice to hear about your success over the weekend in a year that has not seen much representative Sport go ahead.
